Red Bull and The Invaders launch Red Bull Xceptional Player
Red Bull, and gaming-for-brands agency The Invaders are celebrating the launch of Red Bull Xceptional Player (XP), a new YouTube show in which twelve well-known creators compete in the largest gaming arena in the Netherlands. Hosts Qucee and Fay challenge them with a wide range of games featuring unexpected twists, all in search of the most exceptional player in the country.
Red Bull XP, co-developed and produced by The Invaders, offers a unique blend of familiarity and challenge. The show taps into gaming nostalgia and passion by bringing back beloved games from the past and present, each with a surprising twist.
What it looked like
Twelve contestants face a different game each round, with each challenge pushing the gamers to their limits. From making a leap of faith in Assassin's Creed to playing Trackmania with inverted controls.
Only those who stay sharp and can improvise remain in the competition; each round, one familiar face is eliminated. Participants like Lies Zhara, Chatmo, Egbert, and Cody Dakota from gaming magazine Power Unlimited are all competing for the trophy.
A Platform for the Community
In addition to Qucee’s YouTube channel, Power Unlimited will host four aftertalks on Twitch and TikTok.
Role of The Invaders
Gaming-for-brands agency The Invaders played a key role as producer and partner in developing the concept. The agency also brought in Big Americans as a partner for Red Bull XP.
Within the show, there’s extra interaction with contestants in the Big Americans Lobby – a special green room where participants can relax between rounds. Additionally, Big Americans challenges the gamers with a race track in the game TrackMania, developed by The Invaders.
